The Many Adventures of Slugma

One thing that I’ve become affectionately known for among my friends is that I am the self-professed “World’s Leading Grimer Expert”. I love goopy Pokémon, I’m not sure quite why. But it’s been something that has stuck with me since the first generation when I learned about Grimer, Muk, and Ditto.

Since then the roster has expanded with new iterations being added to my gelatinous gangmates. One of those would be the fire-type Slugma, which was added in the second generation alongside it’s evolution Magcargo.

During our previous roadtrip to Chicago with some friends to see the Pokémon Fossil Museum, I stumbled upon a helpless Slugma card laying the in the parking lot of the Hard Rock Casino Rockford. From that moment, I knew it was fate for me to chaperone this little guy around the world with me.

This inspired me to kick off the series here as well on my blog. Expect some new photos over time of me documenting the adventures of this Slugma card. I’m hoping to also link an embedded widget of the Google Maps location on the posts so that you too can see where this molten mollusk has traveled to.
